Description
This elegant coffee mug with dangling monkeys is part of our Sharing Moments collection by Janny van der Heijden. This tv personality is especially known for being the host of the Dutch version of The Great British Bake Off, but this culinary journalist knowns like no other what you need to prepare and serve the best meals. That is why the design of her Sharing Moments tableware just as important as how user friendly it is. A teapot has to pour perfectly without spilling hot tea and a coffee mug or teacup has to feel comfortable in your hand. The former released Sharing Moments collection is now extended with the Monkeys collection. “Monkey business is a synonym for pulling pranks and for imitating human behaviour”, says Janny about her new design. “The playful monkeys on the new tableware set for Heinen Delfts Blauw brings a smile to your face. This theme of monkeys in funny situations has been a popular décor on porcelain for over four hundred years and we love to bring them back to the dining table. In Asia they often decorate porcelain with monkeys as a symbol for wisdom and a long life.” This porcelain coffee mug has a traditional Delft blue edge on the bottom part but the rim is decorated with elegant branches and dangling monkeys. The porcelain cup is dishwasher, oven and microwave proof. The Sharing Moments collection has the sub collections Tulip and Monkeys and is created by Janny van der Heijden and Heinen Delfts Blauw.
