Fish and Heinen Delfts Blauw always shared a connection. The roots of the family company lay in the fishermen town Spakenburg, where grandpa Heinen was a local fisherman on the boat BU7. The fishing trade slowly lost a lot of business and the next generation made a switch to the art of Delft blue painting. While the fishing boats slowly disappeared, the fish are still happily swimming around.
