Vase Cylinder Fish - Ceramic - 31 cm

Fish and Heinen Delfts Blauw always had a special connection. Father Jaap Heinen, founder of the company, spent his early days painting in the harbor of the fishing village Spakenburg, while grandpa Heinen braved the seas with his ‘botter’ trying to fill his nets with fish. The fish is also the Heinen Delfts Blauw logo you find on our hand-painted items. On the cylinder shaped vase we focus on this special connection with the fish. In a school these fish swim around the vase without ever stopping. No beginning and no ending. From different angles you notice different details. At a first glance they might seem identical but when you look closer, you start to notice tiny differences. One fish goes his own way and seems against the stream, another one has a big smile on his face while another has a grumpy frown. All in all a vase that keeps fascinating.
