The Foudamours by Victor de Bie x Heinen Delfts Blauw
The Foudamours by Victor de Bie x Heinen Delfts Blauw are a series of Delft blue candleholders, entirely handmade by the ceramicists and master painters of Heinen Delfts Blauw. Each Foudamour is crafted with great care, embodying unique characteristics that bring light and quiet strength into any space.
The Foudamour is a handmade candleholder constructed from two cones and a sphere. This model emerged from leftover clay that Victor de Bie gathered at the end of each day in his ceramics studio. The figures he created from these remnants form the foundation of this precious gift. Every candleholder has a unique appearance and character, inspired by people from Victor’s life, and each represents certain qualities or traits. These striking "love fools" are light-bearers, quietly filling the room with their presence.
Victor de Bie graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy as a fashion designer in 2001. Raised bilingual in French and Dutch, this cultural duality is reflected in his collections. After a varied career in the fashion industry, Victor transitioned to being an independent visual artist. Through drawings, paintings, and objects, he creates his own world, reflecting autobiographically on his experiences and exploring the boundaries between art and design.
