Blauw Bloesem Collection

Blauw Bloesem is a tableware collection designed by Debbie Wijskamp. According to the designer, there is great beauty in the transient and imperfect, and Blauw Bloesem embodies this philosophy. Our Blauw Bloesem tableware includes everything you need to set a beautifully dressed table, perfect for an extended breakfast, a long brunch, or a fully adorned dinner. With a wide range of bowls, plates, and cups in various sizes, you will always have the essentials at hand. Additionally, the tableware is microwave and oven safe, and when the meal is over, it can simply be placed in the dishwasher!

Debbie Wijskamp designs exquisite products for Heinen Delfts Blauw, including the Blauw Bloesem collection. She draws inspiration from everyday objects, constantly exploring new possibilities in material design. After graduating in Product Design from ArtEZ University of the Arts in Arnhem in 2009, she established herself as an independent designer. Debbie is known for her innovative approach to traditional products and materials. "I work a lot with natural materials and textures. Blauw Bloesem is inspired by ancient tableware and excavated pottery. I love it when you can see the history in pottery, when it's been used, and I admire the texture of pottery that has been buried underground for so long. It’s fascinating to see how time affects an object."

Blauw Bloesem tableware by Heinen Delfts Blauw is a testament to the beauty of imperfection and impermanence. The collection is characterized by classic, round shapes and soft lines, allowing the textures and Delft blue decorations to stand out.

Classic, Round Shapes and Soft Lines

"Typically, Delft blue tableware is adorned with large decorations, but I wanted to isolate smaller elements and place them on one side of the piece. The decoration almost seems to creep out from the edge, giving the tableware a serene appearance. It also makes the design visible no matter what is being served. For example, when you plate a beautiful dish, the food takes center stage without the decoration overshadowing it."
