Heinen Delfts Blauw

Yes, we are so proud of our little Dachshund Nhaan! The Delft blue tableware which centers around this cute dog is a finalist for the 2024 Tableware International Awards of Excellence. That means that their international jury fell in love with this adorable dog, just like the rest of the Netherlands did! Keep your fingers crossed that our dear Nhaan will be chosen as the winner.

About the Tableware International Awards

A lot of tableware and porcelain is produced worldwide. New collections are proudly presented at international fairs at home and abroad by hundreds of manufacturers. To motivate each other to continue making beautiful tableware and to put the best collections in the spotlight, an awards ceremony is held once a year. The Tableware International Awards of Excellence has an international jury that does nothing other than focus on the latest developments in the field of tableware. They assess the latest tableware collections and pay attention to quality, design and functionality.

Heinen Delfts Blauw is a finalist

As Heinen Delfts Blauw we are of course also participating in this prestigious election and with success. This year we have been nominated as finalists in no fewer than two categories. In the "Casual Dinnerware" section, the Sharing Moments - Dachshund Nhaan tableware has been selected as a finalist and in the "Coffee/Teaware" section, our Blauw Vouw Slow Coffee set has been nominated as a finalist. With more than two hundred entries from all over the world, these nominations are a great recognition for us that Heinen Delfts Blauw creates high-quality, innovative and functional Delft blue tableware collections. The winners will be announced at the end of January at the Ambiente fair in Frankfurt, where our stand can also be found in hall 12.1, stand no. E16. Come visit and admire our latest collections in real life.

Dachshund Nhaan tableware collection

Nhaan is well on her way to becoming the most famous dog in the Netherlands. "Um, who?" some of you might wonder, especially if you're not very familiar with the world of celebrities. Well, Nhaan. The hairy dachshund of queen of the kitchen Janny van der Heijden (jury member and host of the Dutch version of The Great British Bake Off). Her four-legged diva Nhaan, is quickly conquering the hearts of many Dutch people. In addition to her own Instagram account, cover shoots for magazines and TV roles in cooking programs, this adorable dachshund now also has her own Delft blue tableware on which she plays the leading role. Blauw Vouw Slow Coffee set

In addition to the cute and extremely popular Nhaan tableware, our Slow Coffee set from the Blauw Vouw collection has also been selected as a finalist. The ceramic traditions of Asia and the Netherlands are inextricably linked. In honor of this, Romy Kühne designed the Blauw Vouw tableware for Heinen Delfts Blauw. A special meeting between the Asian folding art of Origami and Dutch Delft blue. At a time when mass production and fast techniques such as 3D printing predominate in design, Romy wants the craft to be preserved, as she shows with this collection. The Slow Coffee set consists of a coffee pot, a coffee filter, a milk jug and a sugar bowl and of course a matching mug. The Slow Coffee set is also a counter-movement to consciously slow down in a hurried world and free up time for yourself. Read all about the Slow Coffee set here.
